Finally, Hatstand Opera are back in Kent in 2011!

Join us for Opera on the Farm, a delightful evening of music and food in the rolling Kent countryside just half a mile from the sea!

Our venue is Haguelands Farm, home to Kent’s largest living maize maze, a superb Farm Shop, ice cream so good it was recommended in The Times, and a friendly herd of alpacas!

It’s a classic Hatstand evening of hilarious scenes and heart-rending arias, where quick costume changes and informal presentation combine with top-notch singing for a great evening of music and laughter.

Why not come early and enjoy a summer’s evening at Haguelands:
• walk the maize maze
• top up your picnic at the farm shop
• take a farm tour (until 7pm)
• meet the alpacas!

Then, tuck into your picnic or delicious hamper of fresh, local food and fruity sparkling wine. A cash bar serving local beers, wines and ciders will also be available.

We’re performing our new show “Laugh-Allowed Opera” at Frinton-on-Sea in Essex this Saturday in the Marquee on the Greensward, a lovely location overlooking the sea and sands.

We’ve performed here for several years, and the shows always have a party atmosphere, especially when unsuspecting evening dog-walkers suddenly hear Verdi or Puccini wafting across the grass! Join us for what is the highlight of our summer season, because singers too like to be beside the seaside…

Sheffield here we come – Sat 23 July

It’s been too long since we have ventured north of Nottingham, so we’re thrilled to be perrforming at Whirlow Hall Farm Trust on the outskirts of Sheffield on Saturday evening.

And we’re even more delighted that the performance will be inside a nice, snug, dry barn rather than dodging the drips in marquees, as we have been doing recently!

So join us for an entertaining evening of opera in a lovely rural setting, with the added incentive of Whirlow Hall Farm’s own strawberries and cream available in the interval.

Hatstand Opera are back in Essex in July for Opera in the Orchard, a weekend of great opera and gorgeous food in the heart of the Essex countryside.

And you can get tickets at the special price of £20 each for either “Lights, Camera, Action” on Sat 9 July or “A Laugh at the Opera” on Sun 10 July (or both if you wish!)

Hatstand Opera are back by popular demand (again) this May to bring music to your ears and titillate your taste buds too! Tuck into a delicious 3-course dinner at the stunning St Brides Spa Hotel, and be royally entertained by A Bite at the Opera, a veritable feast of opera favourites, presented by Hatstand Opera in their delightfully light-hearted style.
